Invisalign

It can be challenging to determine what orthodontic product is the best fit for you. It has to correct your orthodontic issues and fit your lifestyle. Today, many patients are choosing Invisalign because they feel like it fits their lifestyle the best and it offers all the same benefits of traditional metal braces with more convenience.

There are multiple Invisalign systems available. If you decide that Invisalign is best for you, the next step is to decide what treatment plan is the best for you.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign treatment is another way to straighten your teeth. It has less of the restrictions that traditional metal braces have, making it a popular choice for patients of all ages. The system consists of clear plastic aligners that are worn 20-22 hours each day and are only removed when eating, drinking or brushing your teeth. Invisalign is available in different variations, from moderate to cosmetic. There are four types of Invisalign systems: Invisalign Complete, Invisalign Teen, Invisalign Lite and Invisalign Express.

Invisalign Complete

Invisalign Complete is treatment is for patients who have moderate to severe issues with their teeth. This treatment takes the longest of all the Invisalign treatment types (a year or longer to finish treatment). Invisalign Complete treats the most complex issues with the teeth.

Invisalign Lite

For less severe cases, your orthodontist may recommend Invisalign Lite. Invisalign Lite works the same as Invisalign Complete, but the treatment time is shorter. Invisalign Lite is recommended for patients with mild to moderate crowding and spacing issues or slight alignment problems. Patients who use this system can expect their treatment to last less than a year.

Invisalign Express

For the mildest cases, your orthodontist may recommend Invisalign Express. This form of treatment is perfect for patients with slight cosmetic issues. It will typically take six months or less to complete treatment.

Invisalign Teen

Invisalign Teen is perfect for younger patients with mild to moderate issues. This form of treatment works perfectly for crowding issues, spacing problems, and overall alignment issues. It will typically take a year or longer to complete.

The Invisalign Teen system was made with teenagers in mind. Every aligner includes blue compliance indicators to ensure that the patient is wearing them for the recommended time each day. The system also includes extra replacement aligners in case the patient accidentally loses their aligners.
